Rochester Steel Treating Works, Inc. is a commercial heat treating company, established in 1932. We maintain a number of industrial furnaces and ovens, each with different temperature and atmosphere capabilities to provide a diverse range of heat treating services to our customers. Temperatures used in heat treating cycles can range from -300°Fahrenheit to 2400°Fahrenheit. Process atmospheres developed by mixing industrial gasses are used for neutral hardening, nitriding, carburizing and carbo-nitriding processes. Our technical support staff has collectively over 50 years of metallurgical experience and is ready to answer any questions you may have.

RSTW also offers vacuum tempering. Tempering in inert gas produces cleaner parts, less oxidation and scale through a nitrogen cooling process.
