Many purchase orders are received by RSTW that have the case depth defined as .030 which could mean thirty-thousands of an inch (0.030”) or thirty-thousands of a millimeter (0.030 mm) which is equivalent to one-thousands plus of an inch (0.0012”). Please define case depths on incoming purchase/word order by defining the method of measurement is needed for RSTW to properly process your material/parts.
RSTW also offers Ferritic Nitro Carburizing (gas carburizing) which imparts greatly improved wear, fatigue, impact and yield strength properties to a wide range of Carbon Steels, Alloy Steels, Tool Steels and Cast Iron parts.
